01How do I get started with Phlashcards?
Open the app and start immediately. There is no account to create, no setup required, and no login needed. Everything is preloaded and ready the moment you open the app for the first time.
02What is Deep Dive and how do I access it?
Deep Dive is an extended, multi-paragraph explanation available behind every flashcard. After revealing the answer to a card, tap the Deep Dive button to open a full concept explanation. It builds the reasoning behind the answer so understanding replaces memorization.
03Does the app work without an internet connection?
Yes. Phlashcards is fully offline. All 4,000+ flashcards, 20+ practice exams, and Deep Dive explanations are stored entirely on your device. No internet connection is required to study at any time.
04How do I filter by domain?
Tap the menu icon from the flashcard or quiz screen and select Filter by Domain or Select Domains. You can choose any combination of the five Security+ domains to focus your session on specific areas.
05Where can I see my Domain Performance scores?
Tap the menu icon and select Domain Performance. You will see your overall score and individual scores for each domain and sub-objective. Scores update automatically after every session so you always have a current picture of where you stand.
06How do I reset my progress or quiz stats?
From the menu inside the app, select Reset Quiz Stats or Reset Domain Stats. You can reset your quiz performance independently from your flashcard progress so you have full control over what you want to restart.
07Is my data stored anywhere outside my device?
No. Phlashcards does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. All your progress lives on your device and nowhere else.
08Are there any ads in the app?
No. Phlashcards is completely ad-free. There are no banner ads, no interstitials, and no promoted content of any kind. Your study session is uninterrupted from start to finish.
09Which certifications does Phlashcards cover?
Phlashcards provides comprehensive study content for multiple cybersecurity and IT certifications, including CompTIA Security+, PenTest+, CySA+, Network+, and A+; ISC² CISSP; AWS certifications; and Security AI. All content is built from official exam domain objectives and aligned with current certification blueprints. Individual certification tracks are available as in-app purchases.
10Does Phlashcards support DoD 8140 pathways?
Yes. Phlashcards is a strong study tool for learners following DoD 8140 pathways where Security+ satisfies baseline certification requirements. The comprehensive domain coverage and offline capability make it particularly well-suited for military and government learners.
11I found an issue with the app. How do I report it?
Please email us at support@phlashcards.com with a description of the issue and, if possible, the steps to reproduce it. We take every report seriously and respond as quickly as we can.
12How do I request a refund for an in-app purchase?
All in-app purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To request a refund, you must contact Apple or Google directly. For Apple App Store purchases, visit Apple's official refund portal. For Google Play purchases, visit the Google Play support page. Hodge Podgin LLC does not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds — all refund requests must go through the platform where you made your purchase.
